When researching a suitable commercial painting contractor, there are key areas that one needs to ensure exist before making the ultimate decision on which company to hire. Each project will have its own set of designs and desires, but there are certain immutable factors that come into play with every commercial painting project. Hiring an experienced company, that is adept at running an efficient project, that has the foresight to avoid costly change orders before they ever happen.

Multifamily buildings, HOA communities, and commercial properties need specific services that can only be offered by a commercial painting contractor. WRB Construction has the experience, certifications, equipment, and manpower to handle any commercial project.

Why experience matters

There is no substitute for overall experience and practical application. Our trained commercial painting crews have more experience than a typical residential painter. WRB Construction has the experience, skillset, acumen and high-quality equipment to paint any multifamily community, apartment or business complex. It takes a team that has experience working on large-scale projects with a proven track record of working cohesively and efficiently as a unit. Additionally, our team leaders and supervisors, are adept at working and communicating with other contractors and superintendents that may be working on concurrent projects, on same job site. At WRB Construction we have the practical experience working on multi-resident and multiple-occupant projects. We understand how to stage material, waste, and equipment so residents and occupants aren’t disrupted in their day to day activities.

WRB Construction has years of experience completing successful projects involving large scale crews. Our experience continues into our administrative workings and departments. From Crew Scheduling, to Invoicing, to obtaining the necessary permits and contracts, a lot more work goes into making sure a commercial project reaches a successful completion than just what takes place on the site.

Optimal crew size

A properly sized crew is vital. At WRB Construction, we assign the optimal number of workers for each project. We use proven processes and metrics that ensure a smoothly functioning work site. This ensures our projects are finished safely, precisely, and on schedule. Our management team and on-site supervisors have a combined 50 years of commercial painting experience.

Availability and flexibility of scheduling

Most construction projects take place between the hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. However, with commercial painting projects there are situations where that schedule may require modification to avoid interrupting the operation of the business being painted. We understand and appreciate that for many businesses, it is critical that the painting contractor they hire has the flexibility to work on the project outside hours of operation of their business. At WRB Construction we work with our clients scheduling needs to ensure the least interference with their customer base, and their bottom line.

What about lead paint or asbestos?

Many buildings in use were built before 1978. We have a top of the line Lead Safe Renovation Division. All our supervisors are highly trained, and EPA certified in all aspects and operations of lead safe renovations. We adhere to the strictest of EPA guidelines, and ensure the protection and safety of current and future occupants of any commercial building we are contracted to renovate or coat.

We have a licensed asbestos inspector on our staff. Before any renovation project we will perform a comprehensive asbestos survey, including proper sampling and lab testing. Regulations require this survey before any work begins or waste is disposed of. This survey identifies any suspect building materials and determines whether they are an environmental concern. If suspect material is confirmed to contain asbestos WRB Construction will bring in the professionals to safely remove or contain the hazard, protecting our clients and occupants.

How can your contractor protect the environment?

WRB Construction is excited to be part of green building practices and sustainability efforts. Our water-based paint options are considered green. In fact, the water-based latex paints we use either meet or exceed the Green Seal criteria and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED certification.

WRB Construction recycles paint cleanup water and unused paints and chemicals at PaintCare drop-off locations. This ensures that unused chemicals and waste water can’t be reintroduced to our storm system or environment.
